DIANA MORANT
Diana Morant was appointed Minister of Science and Innovation of Spain in July 2021.
She was born in Gandia, Valencia in 1980 and holds a degree in Telecommunications Engineering from the Polytechnic University of Valencia.
She was Mayor of Gandia from 2015 to 2021, a city councilwoman since 2011, and a member of the Provincial Council of Valencia from 2015 to 2017.
Morant has been a member of the Tourism Council of the regional government of Valencia since 2015 and a member of the Territorial Council of the Spanish Federation of Municipalities and Provinces since 2019. She was also a member of the of the decision-making body of the Spain Convention Bureau from 2016 to 2019.
Morant is Secretary General of the Gandia Socialist Party of the Valencian Region (PSPV-PSOE).
