The reform of the Statute of the State Agency CSIC aims to meet the objectives of innovation and transfer in Law 17/2022, of 5 September, which modifies Law 14/2011, of 1 June, on Science, Technology and Innovation, through the reform of its organizational structure that favors that the results of the research of the research agencies approach all sectors and social agents, generating economic and social value.
Likewise, the dissemination of the knowledge generated in the CSIC to the whole of civil society is expanded, and the development of initiatives of knowledge transfer and business innovation applied to the productive field is promoted, including the different economic actors in the different sectors of activity, thus orienting the institution towards companies.
On the other hand, it introduces into the statute the legal regulation of the CSIC Units abroad, to alleviate the current deficit of organic and regulatory in this regard.
The public participation period is open from 00:00 on June 29 until 23:59 on July 20, 2026.
