Proyecto de real decreto por el que se regula la concesión directa de subvenciones a entidades relacionadas con la investigación y el conocimiento

This royal decree aims to regulate the direct granting of subsidies for operating expenses, on an exceptional basis, for reasons of public and social interest, to the following entities related to research and knowledge:

• Institut d´Estudis Catalans.
• Royal Academy of the Basque Language, «Euskaltzaindia».
• Society of Basque Studies - Eusko Ikaskuntza.
• Galician Royal Academy.
• Aranzadi Science Society.
• Jakiunde (Academy of Sciences, Arts and Letters of the Basque Country).
• Institut d´Estudis Aranesi - Academia Aranesa dera Lengua Occitana.
• Academy of the Asturian Llingua.
• Iura Vasconiae (Foundation for the Study of the Historical and Autonomous Law of Vasconia).
• Valencian Academy of La Llengua.
• Confederation of Scientific Societies of Spain (COSCE), for operating expenses.
• Network of Spanish Researchers and Scientists Abroad Associations (RAICEX), for operating expenses.

Thus, within the regular framework of cooperation between the General Administration of the State and the Autonomous Institutions, the Ministry of Science, Innovation and Universities collaborates directly by financing entities related to the research and study of various subjects, acting in a similar way to the way of proceeding of the Royal Academies at the national level.

The Ministry of Science, Innovation and Universities also supports the entity that integrates and represents all professional associations of science in Spain, the Confederation of Spanish Scientific Societies (COSCE) at a national and multidisciplinary level, as well as the Network of Spanish Researchers and Scientists Abroad (RAICEX).

These grants contribute to the achievement of various objectives that are specific to the Ministry of Science, Innovation and Universities: the development of culture, education, knowledge and research. Due to the diverse nature of this set of entities, it is possible to treat a wide variety of subjects in a transversal way.

The public participation period is open from 00:00 on May 22 until 23:59 on June 10, 2026.
