Purification Muñoz Cánoves. National Research Award "Santiago Ramón y Cajal". Biology

Pura Muñoz-Cánoves, Professor of Cell Biology at Pompeu Fabra University, professor of ICREA Research and principal researcher at the National Center for Cardiovascular Research (CNIC), has been awarded this prize. The award recognizes the contribution of his research in stem cells within the fields of muscle regeneration and aging, as well as the application of his discoveries to the treatment of different pathologies such as muscular dystrophy.
