Francisco Pelayo García de Arquer, National Youth Research Award ‘Felisa Martín Bravo’ in the area of Physical Sciences, Materials and the Earth
Francisco Pelayo García de Arquer has been recognized for his pioneering and interdisciplinary contributions to the fields of physics, chemistry and materials sciences, with relevant applications in the generation of clean energy and in the development of optoelectronic elements. Their contributions to the manipulation of nanostructured materials, controlling their structural, physicochemical, optical and electronic properties, have opened new approaches to the design of highly efficient solar cells, photodetectors and light-emitting diodes.
García de Arquer is Head of Research Group at the Institute of Photonic Sciences (ICFO).
