Secretary General for Research
He has 30 years of experience between the health sector, the university and the biotechnology industry, mainly in the area of oncology and immunology.
She holds a PhD in Chemical Sciences in the specialty of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from the Complutense University of Madrid, and a postdoctoral stay at the University of Lund (Sweden) in the Department of Immunotechnology, where she was hired as a senior researcher.
Until December 2023, she held the position of Scientific Director of the Biobank of the National Cancer Research Center (CNIO). She has also coordinated the area of biobanks within the National Platform of Biobanks and Biomodels of the Instituto de Salud Carlos III, scientific director of the National Node at BBMRI ERIC, as well as director of Management of the National Network of Brain Metastases (RENACER).
He has also been a member of the Advisory Council on Science, Technology and Innovation (CACTI) of the Ministry of Science, Innovation and Universities, as well as the Research Ethics Committee of the Carlos III Health Institute, from the beginning of 2023 until his appointment.
She has also been vice-president of the Society of Spanish Scientists in Sweden (ACES), president of the CRE (Council of Spanish Residents 2017-2019), as well as counselor for Sweden in the CGCEE (General Council of Spanish Citizenship Abroad for the VII mandate). In addition, from 2019 until her appointment she has been general secretary of the Network of Spanish Researchers and Scientists Abroad (RAICEX).
