Our data in the national catalogue

The National Catalogue, housed in datos.gob.es, is the meeting point between administrations, companies and citizens interested in the opening of public information and the development of advanced services based on data.

The National Open Data Catalogue is constituted as the platform’s flagship datos.gob.es:

  • It is presented as a single point of access to the data that the Spanish public administration makes available for reuse.
  • Increase visibility and facilitate access to data sets published in local and regional catalogues in Spanish.
  • Thanks to its convergence with European standards, it is constituted as a single channel of communication with the European data portal.
  • It presents multiple mechanisms to locate and access data of interest: free text search, filters, web services (API + SPARQL point), mass downloads, etc.
  • The National Catalogue is complemented by numerous services, among others:
    • Methods to facilitate the publication and description of data, both manually and automatically.
    • One-stop service through which the user requests data of interest.
    • Mechanisms of interaction with the user to publicize new products and companies that are developed using open data as a substrate.

A support and advisory service specializing in technical and methodological aspects of open data and the reuse of public sector information is made available to public agencies and entities.
