Office of the Assistant Director-General for Human Resources and Services Inspection

The Office of the Assistant Director-General for Personnel and Inspection of Services, attached to the Office of the Under-Secretary, performs the following functions:

• The elaboration of the personnel policy attached to the department and, in particular, its planning and management, through the forecasting of needs; the proposal of public employment offer, selection and provision; the proposal of modification of the relations of jobs; the forecasting and monitoring of personnel expenditure, as well as all aspects derived from the application of the regulations in this regard, the allotment of personnel and salaries and payroll.

• The training of staff, the management of social action and the prevention of occupational risks.

• The relationship with trade union organizations and other representative professional associations.

• The inspection of the services of the organs and agencies dependent on or attached to the department.

• The exercise of disciplinary authority for serious or very serious misdemeanours of the personnel of the department and its public agencies, except for separation from service.

• Coordination of activities related to public policy evaluations of the department in support of the Institute for the Evaluation of Public Policies of the Ministry of Territorial Policy and Public Service, in accordance with the plan of public policy evaluations approved by the Council of Ministers.
