National Center for Cardiovascular Research (CNIC)

The Carlos III National Center for Cardiovascular Research (CNIC) is an internationally recognized research center of excellence dedicated to understanding the fundamental bases of cardiovascular health and disease and transferring that knowledge to the patient. Its management is carried out through a public foundation with the same name, dependent on the Carlos III Health Institute (ISCIII).

The IASB’s ultimate goal is for the knowledge generated to be translated into a benefit for society and a tangible return for the Spanish public sector. All of its resources are aimed at translating research results into clinical practice and the business sector. In this way he promotes the interaction of basic and clinical researchers and is a pioneer in his set of clinical and observational projects with population studies, one of the great bets of the center.
