In the area of Bioengineering, Biomaterials and Nanomedicine, the Center for Biomedical Research in Network (CIBER) is a consortium dependent on the Carlos III Health Institute (Ministry of Science, Innovation and Universities) created in 2006 and organized into thirteen areas of thematic research. The CIBER-BBN area currently brings together 44 research groups selected throughout the national territory based on their scientific excellence, with the aim of carrying out translational research in Bioengineering, Biomaterials and Nanomedicine and transferring the results to the industry.
