Both gender equality and international cooperation with third countries are priorities of the European Research Area and cross-cutting axes of the European Union's policy on gender equality in R+D+I.
The UMyC promotes the integration of gender in the international cooperation model in science, technology and innovation of Horizon Europe to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals (including Goal 5 Gender Equality). This will strengthen the EU's research and innovation capabilities, but also the fulfilment of its political, social, economic and humanitarian commitments.
