Leadership and decision making

The participation of women in decision-making in all spaces and levels is another basic democratic requirement that ensures the distribution of power between women and men, as well as equal access to resources. Participation in decision-making is part of vertical segregation and refers to the presence in decision-making spaces in science institutions, which can often result in promotion in one’s career, as happens with participation in some committees and commissions.

Lines of action:

  • positions of responsibility/coordination,
  • Steering Committees/Governing Councils,
