Proyecto de Orden por la que se establecen los requisitos para la verificación de los planes de estudios conducentes a la obtención de los títulos universitarios oficiales que habiliten para el ejercicio de la profesión de Farmacéutico

The draft order aims to update Order CIN/2137/2008, of 3 July, establishing the requirements for the verification of official university degrees qualifying for the practice of the profession of Pharmacist, which has been in force for more than 18 years, and to adapt the requirements to the new needs of the current context related to this type of official teaching, as well as to the guidelines established in Directive 2005/36/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council, of 7 September 2005, as amended by Commission Delegated Directive (EU) 2024/782, of 4 March 2024.

It also adapts to the requirements established by Royal Decree 822/2021, of 28 September.

As it is necessary to update the requirements for the verification of official university degrees that qualify for the exercise of the profession of Pharmacist, the approval of this ministerial order is the appropriate instrument to achieve the objective pursued.

• Establish the requirements to which the curricula leading to the obtaining of the official university degrees that qualify for the exercise of the profession of Pharmacist that the universities submit for verification by the Council of Universities.
• Adapt the current requirements to the requirements of Royal Decree 822/2021, of 28 September, which establishes the organization of university education and the quality assurance procedure, and to the regulations of the European Union.
• Update the requirements to the needs of the current context.

To amend the current Order CIN/2137/2008, of 3 July, establishing the requirements for the verification of official university degrees qualifying for the practice of the profession of Pharmacist. But since it is such a broad modification, it is considered more appropriate to propose a new order.

The public participation period is open from September 24 to October 8, 2026.
