The R&D&I Policy Network (RedIDI) was created at the end of 2010 as an essential element of multilevel strategic coordination between the Spanish Autonomous Communities and the General State Administration (AGE).
Its main objective is to coordinate the different agents of the Spanish R&D&I system with a view to optimising the design, implementation and development of public support frameworks for R&D&I, thereby facilitating the mobilisation of resources and access to funding from European funds and, in particular, from the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF).
The RDI Network is co-chaired by the Ministry of Science, Innovation and Universities (Directorate-General for Research Planning) and the Ministry of Finance (Directorate-General for European Funds). Its structure incorporates the main stakeholders of the Spanish R&D&I policy ecosystem, with representation at the European, national and regional levels.
