
This programme is aligned with key European initiatives in this area, including the Quantum Flagship and the European Quantum Communications Infrastructure (EuroQCI), by creating leading-edge infrastructures and acting as a driver for the European quantum industry. In particular, the parties express their willingness to identify, where applicable, as areas of future collaboration for the development of the programme the following lines of action (LA):
- LA-1: EuroQCI—for a European quantum communication infrastructure.
- LA-2: Quantum communication hardware.
- LA-3: Quantum communication software.
- LA-4: Quantum processing hardware.
- LA-5: Quantum processing software.
- LA-6: Human resources and training for innovation and entrepreneurship.
- LA-7: Ecosystem of innovation and industry, dissemination and exploitation of results.
The programme was initially launched with the Autonomous Communities of the Basque Country, Catalonia, Galicia, Madrid and Castile and Leon, with the participation of the Spanish National Research Council (CSIC), by signing a framework agreement with the Ministry of Science, Innovation and Universities.
Subsequently, the Valencian Community joined following the Agreement of the Council for Scientific, Technological and Innovation Policy of 22 June 2022.
