Law 14/2021 of 1 June, on Science, Technology and Innovation, as well as Law 27/2022 of 20 December, on the institutionalization of the evaluation of public policies in the General Administration of the State constitute the referential framework for the implementation of evaluation mechanisms in the State, and specifically in the field of R+D+I.
In this framework, and due to the existing need to plan and coordinate the evaluation activity carried out in the Ministry of Science, Innovation and Universities (MICIU) and its dependent bodies, the MICIU Evaluation Committee is created, which has the participation of all the bodies and agencies dependent on the Ministry with evaluation functions. As a result of the work of this Committee, the Evaluation Plan of the MICIU has been prepared, which includes all the evaluation activity of the Ministry, including the evaluation of the Spanish Strategy of Science, Technology and Innovation and the State Plan of Scientific, Technical and Innovation Research.
