OE3.A1.1: National Data Space in Health

The National Health Data Space is an infrastructure that will facilitate access to health data for primary and secondary use. These data can be applied to mass analysis capabilities and Artificial Intelligence implementations to improve the diagnosis, treatment and rehabilitation of diseases. This infrastructure will also be able to help prevent diseases and is an indispensable tool to implement Personalized Precision Medicine. Given the sensitive nature of citizens’ health data, the focus on cybersecurity is a key requirement in development.

OE3.A1.2: Creation of demonstrators and cases of use of data sharing spaces. SEDIA

In the digital age, data is the new engine of the economy. Data spaces represent a revolution in information management and sharing. These ecosystems allow various actors to share data voluntarily and securely, following common standards of governance and technology. Data spaces are conceived as safe, sovereign and interoperable environments where data can be shared, both within and between different sectors, always respecting European standards, ambitions and values. These calls define a series of strategic sectors, among which is the Health sector and are structured in two different lines of action:

  • The creation of demonstration centers that aims to implement demonstration centers and pilots of data spaces, so that companies, especially SMEs and startups, can experiment and perform concept tests based on the sharing and exploitation of data, thus allowing the development of innovative practices in the use and sharing of data that allow to improve competitiveness and international projection
  • Promotion of use cases, where a use case is defined as a practical application of data sharing and exploitation technologies to achieve a business objective in the data space ecosystem
