Fernando Maestre, National Research Award: Natural Resources Sciences and Technologies
Fernando Tomás Maestre Gil has been recognized with the National Research Award in the area of Natural Resources Sciences and Technologies for the generation of numerous and important advances in the study of biodiversity and the ecology of arid zones, the impacts of climate change on terrestrial ecosystems and desertification.
Maestre is a distinguished researcher at the University of Alicante, where he directs the Laboratory of Arid Zones and Global Change.
