Josefa Ros National Award for Research in Humanities
Josefa Ros Velasco has been recognized with the National Research Award for Young People in Humanities for his important contribution in the Studies of Boredom, a branch of emerging unknown knowledge, carried out from a multidisciplinary perspective with the aim of improving the life of older people who live institutionalized, and whose results have been transferred to the socio-sanitary and geriatric field.
Ros is a postdoctoral researcher at the Complutense University of Madrid, where she directs a project, funded by the European Horizon 2020 program with a Marie Sklodowska Curie Actions contract, with which she seeks to know the causes and consequences of the experience of boredom in the homes of elderly people in Spain and propose solutions consistent with the needs of the elderly and the resources of the institutions.
