Carmen García García, Blas Cabrera National Research Award in Physical, Material and Earth Sciences
Carmen García is a Research Professor at the Higher Council for Scientific Research at the Institut de Physics Corpuscular - IFIC (joint centre of the CSIC and the Universitat de València).
He has received the Award for the impact of his scientific career, recognized both nationally and internationally, and the excellence of his research in particle physics, focused on the study of the fundamental components of matter and their interactions.
They highlight their contributions to the search for long-lived particles, development of trace detectors and their participation in the ATLAS experiment, key to the discovery of the Higgs Boson.
