Isabel Inés Casanovas, Special Mention in Design 2020 in the modality "Professionals"

For its pioneering work in the settlement and expansion of the different emerging design disciplines in Spain from execution, entrepreneurship, consultancy and training. By opening roads, building communities, promoting learning and training new generations of professionals in the new design disciplines.

“Bachelor of Information Sciences” at UCM, her professional career began by co-founding her own agency, and she closed it when it became so big that they could no longer devote themselves to what they wanted: designing. He has worked in companies of all types designing products and services, leading design teams, defining methodologies, designing strategies, user experiences and learning. He understands “people-centred design” as an essential perspective in any realm of reality, and applies it to everything he designs, including his own professional projects, in which he has been working since 2013:

She is part of [ilios](http://ilios.design), a group of designers with whom she explores new organizational models (without business structure, based on trust and mutual admiration) and develops design and innovation projects that help to “humanize modernity.” She is the captain [La Nave Nodriza](http://lanavenodriza.com/), a space for reflection and learning around the “design of digital products and services with a humanist perspective”, where they share knowledge in an artisanal and human way, promoted by people with extensive experience in the digital sector. In La Nave they design learning experiences in which the boundaries between students and professionals are merged, between learning, teaching and designing.

“As a woman and designer,” she has gone from apprentice to teacher almost without realizing it. He is currently studying facilitation, process work and deep democracy, disciplines that he considers fundamental to apply design from a critical, more diverse and inclusive perspective.

She believes that “design has a growing impact on our society,” and is determined to design a better, fairer, easier and more beautiful world.
