The Network Biomedical Research Center on Neurodegenerative Diseases (CIBERNED) was born in 2006 under the auspices of the Carlos III Health Institute (ISCIII). Its objective is to promote and enhance research excellence in neurodegenerative diseases through a network research structure.
In addition to the ISCIII, the consortium also includes the Higher Council of Scientific Research (CSIC), institutions of practically all the CCAA and centres or institutions not attached to the Public Administrations.
