What is a Convention?

The agreements are agreements with other countries to facilitate the mutual recognition of degrees and university studies and complement the systems of homologation and equivalence.

Which conventions are currently in force?

The agreements with Germany, Italy, France, China, Argentina, Chile and Colombia.

What are the general requirements that qualifications must meet in order to qualify for the Convention?

The requirements will be those established in each convention.

What effects do these types of agreements have?

The recognition of degrees, diplomas and academic degrees under these agreements will produce the effects that the agreement confers.

How to submit the application?

Applications will be submitted exclusively through the electronic office in Application for equivalence of foreign university degrees (universidades.sede.gob.es)

The fee shall be payable, except in the case of agreements to the contrary, such as France, Germany, Italy and China.

Once the application has been submitted, you must send an email to conventions@ciencia.gob.es, indicating your name and surname, along with the file code and the agreement to which it has been received.
