The QEDU is an application that aims to make it easier for students to decide what to study and where to study in the university. For this purpose, it provides a set of indicators that provide relevant information on the studies offered by Spanish universities.
Data have been extracted from the Register of Universities, Centers and Degrees and the Integrated University Information System. The available information should be considered solely for information and guidance purposes.
The titles available in this application are Official Studies that have been verified by the Council of Universities and joint programming thereof (no own titles are included).
For students of foreign origin, it is recommended to consult in Study in Spain (sepie.es).
SEARCH FOR TITLES
From the QEDU you can access information of all the degrees offered in Bachelor, Master and PhD in Spanish universities, both public and private.
The search must be done by:
- Keyword: The application will show all the degrees that contain that word in its name.
- Scope of study: The application will show all the degrees that are classified in the fields of study you selected.
Remember that you can search for degrees of any academic level: Bachelor, Master, Master, Double Master and Doctorate.
After the search you will be able to apply filters to adjust your search:
- Characteristics of the degrees.
- The university or the type of university.
- by the geographical area of the centre where the qualifications are given.
When you’ve found the qualifications, you’re interested in, you can:
- View cards with the main information of the degrees.
- Download the list of titles shown by clicking on the download icons (xlsx or csv).
- Extend the information of any degree that is displayed by clicking on the card that interests you.
For each degree, the following information is provided:
-
General information related to the degree, center, university, registration data and cut-off notes.
-
Information so you can compare the performance of your profile with the overall performance of students in the field of the selected degree (for Bachelor only).
-
Information on the job insertion of the degree and comparative data by field of study and the set of graduates (only for Bachelor and Master).
LIKELY PERFORMANCE
It allows to compare the performance of a certain profile (depending on the variables: expected admission note, Form of access and sex) with the performance of the average of the students in the study area.
The performance is the percentage of credits approved in respect of credits registered by students in the field of study. A value of 100 % indicates that all students approve all the subjects enrolled.
OCCUPATIONAL INTEGRATION: INDICATORS OF SOCIAL SECURITY AFFILIATION
These data are generated from two sources of information: The Integrated University Information System (SIIU) managed by the Ministry of Science, Innovation and Universities, with the close collaboration of all universities and autonomous communities and the General Treasury of Social Security of the Ministry of Inclusion, Social Security and Migration from where the work life of each of the graduates is obtained.
We analyze, therefore, the graduates who are discharged from the Social Security program, using as a methodological criterion a cross-sectional analysis of the cohort of graduates 4 years ago, taking as reference the Social Security data of the month of March of the last year available.
It should be noted that these affiliation rates do not correspond to employment rates, since in this study only university affiliated to the Social Security are analyzed, either in general or in special scheme for self-employed workers.
This study does not include:
-
University graduates who exercise their profession as self-employed and who are affiliated with a mutuality of their professional college, as in the case of architects, some legal graduates who exercise the liberal profession and certain engineering specialties.
-
University graduates who work in a foreign country and, therefore, are not affiliated with Social Security in Spain.
-
Officials who have acceded to the Public Administration before 2011 who will be affiliated with MUFACE or those who are affiliated with ISFAS. It should be noted, however, that from 2011 all those who have acceded to the Public Administration are members of the Social Security in terms of pensions. Therefore, the university graduates analyzed in this study, from 2009-2010, if they have acceded to the Public Administration since 2011, are included in the study. There are, however, those who are officials before that date, that is, before the end of the studies.
The indicators calculated are as follows:
- Affiliation rate: percentage of university graduates who are discharged from Social Security.
- Percentage of self-employed: percentage of university graduates belonging to the special self-employed regime. This indicator measures the percentage of university graduates who are on high employment and are self-employed.
- Percentage of undefined recruits: percentage of university graduates affiliated to Social Security for employees with an indefinite contract.
- Percentage with university level contribution group: percentage of university graduates affiliated with Social Security in a contribution group according to their studies (engineers, graduates, senior management, diplomas and technical engineers). The self-employed are included in this group.
- Average Contribution Base: Annual Average Social Security Contribution Base of Graduates Who Are Affiliated for One Day in March for Full-Time Employees.
It is important to highlight that the information by field of study includes the entire population of graduates 4 years ago, but results are only shown from those active degrees at the time when the data were updated and whose code has not changed.
