LT1.A1.1: ISCIII Clinical Research Platform (Biobancos-Biomodels, ITEMAS, SCREN)
The purposes of the ISCIII Platforms are:
- Provide high-level scientific, technical and technological support to R&D&I projects in Health Sciences and Technologies.
- Promote transversal projects specific to its area of action.
- To enhance the participation and leadership of Spain in projects, programs, infrastructures and international platforms in biomedicine.
- Promote innovation capacities in health technologies, the development of independent clinical research and the implementation of Precision Medicine as instruments that contribute to the sustainability of the SNS.

LT1.A1.2: Proteomics and Metabolomics Platform
The Central Scientific-Technical Units (UCCT) carry out different technical activities, but all aimed at providing scientific technical support to researchers in specific topics, as well as developing research work. Proteomics deeply studies the proteins of a cell or tissue under specific conditions, analyzing their structure, function and interactions. Metabolomics, for its part, focuses on metabolites, small molecules generated by biological processes, whose analysis can contribute to the diagnosis and treatment of diseases.

LT1.A1.3: Module for the generation of research-oriented polytransgenic animals in Xenotransplantation
Xenotransplantation could be an interesting tool in helping with the overall organ transplant strategy. The Carlos III Health Institute has planned the creation of a specific module for research in this field.
LT1.A1.4: Human Biomonitoring Infrastructure
Human Biomonitoring (BMH) is a very useful tool for health protection by providing specific information on exposure to chemical substances through an integrated assessment of them or their metabolites in human samples. It makes it possible to know individual, population or specific group exposure levels, identify exposure routes and determining factors, as well as design policies to reduce exposure and evaluate its effectiveness.
