LT5.A3: Professional and university training in health

LT5.A3.1: Microcredentials

University microcredentials are credentials derived from short courses (less than 15 ECTS credits); focused on the acquisition of specific knowledge, skills or competences; of flexible format and adaptable to the diverse needs and limitations of availability of adult students, including the use of the virtual or semi-virtual modality, and with a modular structure whereby each course can make sense independently, and at the same time, accumulate and combine in broader credentials, such as degrees or master’s degrees, within the framework of a personalized training itinerary.

More information in The Ministry of Universities presents at the University of Malaga the plan of university microcredentials.

LT5.A3.2: Redimensioning offer of Professional Training

The estimate of the needs of people trained with intermediate qualifications (basic, middle and higher technicians) is expected to be much higher than the existing one, so the redimensioning of the supply of these lessons is essential for economic growth.

The increase in the number of places is an absolute necessity of our educational and training system in a number of places that has been estimated according to the response capacity of the Educational Administrations, responsible for formalizing this offer. It is an initial impulse with the vocation of becoming the embryo of a process that allows, in the medium term, a perfect adjustment between effort and training offer, and needs and absorption capacity of the productive sectors.
