Montserrat Guillen Estany, National Award for Pascual Madoz Research in Law and Economic and Social Sciences

Monserrat Guillen Estany, is professor of Quantitative Methods for Economics and Business at the University of Barcelona. She has received the Award for being a pioneering figure and international reference in risk economics and actuarial sciences, with an academic and scientific trajectory of great impact, whose works are profoundly transforming risk analysis and the insurance economy in the 21st century, integrating quantitative methods with technologies such as Big Data and artificial intelligence, taking them to fields of special social interest such as longevity, car driving, financial contagion and more recent climate.
