State Technology Centres are legally constituted non-profit organisations operating in Spain created to serve society as a whole and boost the competitiveness of companies by generating technological knowledge, conducting R&D&I activities and promoting their implementation. The work carried out in these centres has proved essential for the technological and industrial development of Spanish SMEs.
Similarly, State Technological Innovation Support Centres will be formed to facilitate the application of knowledge generated in research organisations, including technology centres, by acting as intermediaries between the latter and companies and providing support services for innovation.
REGISTER OF TECHNOLOGY CENTRES AND TECHNOLOGY INNOVATION SUPPORT CENTRES
Royal Decree 2093/2008, of 19 December, regulates Technology Centres (CT) and Technological Innovation Support Centres (CAIT) at the national level and establishes a voluntary public register for information purposes that can be accessed through the Directory of Technology Centres and Technological Innovation Support Centres.

CERVERA GRANTS FOR TECHNOLOGICAL CENTRES
This programme aims to strengthen technology centres conducting applied research in Spain and reinforce their role as a driving force in the Spanish Science, Technology and Innovation System.
In particular, the goal is to enhance the capacities of these centres in strategic technologies (Cervera priority technologies) through networking and to enhance their potential to collaborate with different stakeholders, in particular companies involved in these technologies.
