DIANA MORANT

MINISTER OF SCIENCE, INNOVATION AND UNIVERSITIES

Born in Gandia (Valencia) in 1980. Degree in Telecommunications Engineering from the Polytechnic University of Valencia.

Minister of Science and Innovation from 2021 to November 2023.

Member of the Congress of Deputies for Valencia from 17 August 2023 to 6 December 2023.

Mayor of Gandia representing PSPV-PSOE (2015-2021). She was a councillor at the Gandia City Council from 2011 to 2015 and a member of the Provincial Council of Valencia from July 2015 to May 2017.

Morant was a member of the Region of Valencia Tourism Board from June 2015 until September 2021 and has been a member of the Regional Council of the FEMP (Spanish Federation of Municipalities and Provinces).

She also sat on the Board of Directors of the Port Authority of Valencia from January 2020 to July 2021.

Furthermore, she served as a member of the decision-making body of the Spain Convention Bureau from June 2016 to May 2019.

At the local level, she served as Secretary General of the PSPV-PSOE Gandia from June 2014 to May 2022.

Since October 2021, she has been a member of the PSOE board as Secretary for Science, Innovation and Universities.
