The Integrated Micro and Nano Fabrication Clean Room (SBCNM) is a Unique Scientific and Technical Infrastructure (ICTS) dedicated to the development and application of innovative technologies in the field of microelectronics, together with other emerging microtechnologies and nanotechnologies. The SBCNM is administratively attached to the National Microelectronics Centre of the Institute of Microelectronics of Barcelona (IMB-CNM), a research centre of the Spanish National Research Council (CSIC).

Since its creation, the SBCNM has been the main support facility for the R&D activities of the IMB-CNM. Although clearly defined in its resources, policies and mission statement, the SBCNM's activities should be interpreted within the framework of IMB-CNM. The clean room serves not only IMB-CNM research groups but also provides an open-access centre with a broad scientific and technical scope in the field of micro and nanotechnology-based devices, circuits and systems.

The SBCNM is attached to the Spanish National Research Council (CSIC) and is managed as part of the Institute of Microelectronics of Barcelona, located in Bellaterra.
