The problems of reconciliation of personal, family and work life, and the lack of co-responsibility, multiply the obstacles to a real equality of opportunities in the development of the scientific career between men and women.
Motherhood is one of the biggest obstacles according to the specialized literature for women’s careers from the postdoctoral stage. This is one of the great topics in equality policies, not only in the scientific-academic field.
Lines of action:
- promotion of greater co-responsibility,
- flexibility and new formulas for conciliation; and
- National and international mobility.
