To work in another Member State of the European Union you need to apply for a Certificate of Conformity.

The Certificate of Conformity is a necessary procedure that allows to obtain professional recognition of those professions regulated within the framework of Directive 2005/36/EC in the countries of the European Union, the European Economic Area or Switzerland.

Who can apply for the Certificate of Conformity?

Graduates of university level or of Professional Training whose degrees have been issued or approved in Spain and conducive to a regulated profession.

Applications for the Certificate of Conformity for Vocational Training degrees are processed in the corresponding Administration of each Autonomous Community.

What documents should you provide?
  1. Document proving the identity and nationality of the applicant, issued by the competent authorities. of the country of origin or of origin or by the Spanish authorities competent in matters of foreigners. In the case of Spanish citizens, the national identity document or authorization to verify the identity data held by the Administration.
  2. Academic title or provisional supplemental certification signed by the Rector and, where appropriate, professional title. For titles obtained outside Spain, homologation credential or equivalence certificate.
  3. Official personal academic certification (signed and stamped), of the studies carried out to obtain the degree in which, among other things, the duration of these in academic years and the subjects studied or European Supplement to the Degree are recorded.
What specific documents should you provide according to the profession?

Health professions

  1. Copy of the certificate of tuition indicating that the applicant has not been suspended, disabled or prohibited from exercising the profession in Spain . The certificate must have been issued in the last three months by the General Council of Schools or, where appropriate, by the corresponding Professional College.

Physiotherapists

  1. Official certificate of practice issued by the university according to model agreed by the National Conference of Deans of the Faculties of Physiotherapy.

Teachers

  1. In the case of Spaniards, certificate of crimes of a sexual nature. In the case of foreigners or with a nationality other than Spanish, they must apply to the authorities of their other country of nationality for a certificate stating, where appropriate, their criminal record for crimes of a sexual nature.

Compulsory secondary education and baccalaureate teachers, vocational training teachers and language teaching teachers

  1. Official certificate of the practices of the enabling Master, issued by the University and which includes the educational center, the period of realization, number of ECTS credits and number of face-to-face hours.
  2. In the case of accrediting the pedagogical and didactic training in accordance with the provisions of the second transitory provision of Royal Decree 860/2010, of 2 July, to expedite the processing of the application, you must provide a certificate verifiable by electronic means issued by the university where the Pedagogical Aptitude Course was held.
  3. In addition, for teachers of compulsory secondary education and baccalaureate, documentation that justifies compliance with the conditions of initial training described in Royal Decree 860/2010, of 2 July.

Primary education teachers who want to accredit the possibility of teaching music, physical education, foreign language (English, French, German) or attending to students with special educational needs

  1. Documentation that justifies any of the requirements described in articles 5 and 6 of Royal Decree 476/2013, of 21 June, for primary education teachers who want to accredit the possibility of teaching Music, Physical Education, Foreign Language (English, French, German) or attending to students with special educational needs.

Approved certificates
