The CATHYDE is the Technical Analysis Commission for Approvals and Declarations of Equivalence that meets periodically for the approval of general measures according to the following cases:
- When there is an international agreement signed between Spain and other countries
- When there are agreements between the quality assurance agencies of Spain and those of other countries that mutually recognize the quality of their university education plans.
- When a degree from a specific university has been evaluated repeatedly, always obtaining the same result, a general measure can be established.
