Among the functions that the ERDF Management Branch entrusts to the Under-Secretariat for Science and Innovation as an Intermediate Body for the Spanish Multi-Regional Operational Programme ERDF 2014-2020 is the application of effective and proportionate anti-fraud measures.
In its Institutional Declaration on Anti-Fraud the Under-Secretariat for Science and Innovation expresses its commitment to the fight against fraud and the promotion of an organizational culture that prevents any fraudulent activity.
The Ministry of Science, Innovation and Universities has a Complaints Box for possible cases of fraud, corruption and conflict of interest, related to actions financed with European Funds (antifraude.mcin@ciencia.gob.es). It is reported that any complaint made through this medium will be treated with confidentiality, respecting the anonymity of the complainant, without in any case being able to retaliate or publish this information on websites.
The National Anti-Fraud Coordination Service (SNCA) is the body under the General State Intervention (IGAE), within the Ministry of Finance, responsible for coordinating actions aimed at protecting the financial interests of the European Union against fraud in collaboration with OLAF. SNCA makes the channel available to citizens to communicate information on fraud or irregularities affecting European Funds.
