Juan García-Bellido, Premio Nacional de Investigación Blas Cabrera en Ciencias Físicas, de los Materiales y de la Tierra

Juan García-Bellido Capdevila is Professor of Theoretical Physics at the Autonomous University of Madrid, and Researcher at the Institute of Theoretical Physics (UAM-CSIC). He has received the Prize for his research career in the field of theoretical cosmology, particularly with regard to the paradigm of cosmological inflation and the physics of the primitive universe. His work has had a direct impact on experiments and observations that explore the origin and evolution of the universe, placing it as a world reference in his field.
