The Menéndez Pelayo International University (UIMP) is a university center of high culture, research and specialization, in which activities of different university specialties converge. Its mission is to disseminate culture and science, foster relationships for the exchange of scientific and cultural information of international and interregional interest, and develop activities of high research and specialization.
The UIMP wants to be a university open to all academic and cultural fields, which promotes the debate of topics at the frontier of knowledge, the analysis of issues that concern the future of society, the most current cultural activity, multi- and interdisciplinary study and teaching, postgraduate training aimed at employment and professional retraining and the international projection of Spanish scientific and cultural creation.
