The Menéndez Pelayo International University (UIMP) is a university centre of high culture, research and specialisation, where activities from different university specialisations converge. Its mission is to disseminate culture and science, to promote relations of exchange of scientific and cultural information of international and interregional interest, and to develop activities of high research and specialization.
The aim of the UIMP is to be a university open to all academic and cultural fields, which promotes the debate of topics on the frontier of knowledge, the analysis of issues that concern the future of society, the most current cultural activity, multi-disciplinary study and teaching, postgraduate training aimed at employment and professional retraining, and the international projection of Spanish scientific and cultural creation.
