Interministerial Commission for the Incorporation of Innovation Criteria in Public Procurement
The Interministerial Commission for the Incorporation of Innovation Criteria in Public Procurement (CI2CP) is a collegiate body attached to the Ministry of Science, Innovation and Universities, through the General Secretariat of Innovation.
Its purpose is to ensure the coordination of the General Administration of the State, its agencies and entities of public law and the common services and the entities managing Social Security, in the incorporation and use of innovation criteria in public procurement.
In particular, the committee will promote the consideration of innovation at all stages of procurement proceedings, disseminate best administrative practices, and assess the techniques and options for promoting innovation in existing regulations in order to proactively promote criteria for innovative public procurement and, where appropriate, consider the need for possible improvements in the regulatory framework for innovative public procurement.
