Training and training

A change in the organizational culture of public and private science and innovation institutions is necessary to create an environment conducive to gender equality and the promotion of women in all spaces. Changing the organizational culture requires influencing the practices of the organization, and raising people’s awareness, and for this it is essential to train and train all staff on gender equality, as well as specific training adapted to the functions of the position.

Lines of action:

  • commitment of the Directorate,
  • action in the face of resistance to equality policies,
  • prevention of sexist attitudes,
  • zero tolerance of sexual and gender-based harassment,
  • training and training in equality adapted to the position,
  • communication and visibility of equality commitments; and
  • Inclusive and non-sexist language.

Training in university and postgraduate studies

Article 25 of Organic Law 3/2007, of 22 March, for the effective equality of women and men, entrusts public administrations to promote teaching and research on the meaning and scope of equality between women and men, as well as to promote the inclusion in the curricula where it comes from teaching on equality between women and men and the creation of specific postgraduate courses.

Registration of Universities, Centers and Degrees of the Ministry of Universities (RUCT), and on the web pages of universities: there is an offer of official university Masters in gender equality and violence, gender studies and equality policies, which can be consulted in the University Master in Gender Studies.
