The National Center for Advanced Microscopy (Principal Transversal Action of the Moncloa International Campus of Excellence), is designed, according to the study carried out by the FECYT on Singular Scientific-Technological Installations (ICTS) to develop, implement and offer the national and international scientific community the most advanced methods and techniques in transmission and scanning electron microscopy for the structural analysis of materials. This Center consists of a series of state-of-the-art microscopes, and instruments and techniques for advanced sample preparation, as well as for the application of computational image processing methods. Para ser referente científico nacional e internacional, dichos microscopios, disponen de complementos técnicos-científicos que aumentan exponencialmente su potencial.
This type of instruments gives the Center an absolute singularity, since there is no set of microscopy techniques of this type in any Spanish and International laboratory and therefore makes possible a coordinated work and in the best methodological conditions for the entire study process, from the preparation of samples to the most advanced mathematical treatment for the resolution of structures.
