PERTE Aerospace

The Strategic Project for the Economic Recovery and Transformation (PERTE) of the aerospace sector, has the fundamental objective that the Spanish aerospace industry, as a strategic sector, becomes a key actor in the face of the new challenges and opportunities associated with the major transformations planned in the sector at national and international level. Through its different actions, it will accompany the sector in the strengthening of its capacities and in the search for solutions to face the challenges of the coming years, as well as in overcoming the economic damages caused by the COVID-19 crisis, on the essential basis of public-private collaboration.

The Aerospace PERTE is structured in three pillars, Aeronautical, Spatial and Transversal with different actions in each of them.

Calls for proposals

The Aerospace PERTE, its pillars and its actions are dynamized through a series of calls that allow both industry and research centers to request financing associated with this Strategic Project for Economic Recovery and Transformation. Check out these announcements and the status of these here.

Aeronautical Pillar

In the aeronautical field, this PERTE articulates R&D&I activities that generate a dragging effect on the entire value chain to reduce the impact of the crisis generated by the COVID-19 pandemic on the innovative capabilities of companies developing aeronautical technologies, and involved in the management of digital, sustainable and cyber-safe air traffic.

The Aeronautical pillar comprises five actions.

Space Pillar

In the area of space, this PERTE aims to establish a space technology program that generates new innovative and industrial capacities of its own and that, in line with the objectives of the Recovery Plan, provides services related to the environment and the cohesion of the territory. In this sense, it is about maintaining and strengthening the role of Spanish advances in international space missions and trying to consolidate some recent technological developments in fields in which the Spanish industry has opportunities for growth, such as launchers, satellites and their payloads, terrestrial infrastructures of access to space, among others. In addition, international collaboration is considered as a fundamental axis on which to support the entire strategy of capacity development.

The spatial pillar comprises seven actions.

Transversal Pillar

Both the Aeronautical and Space pillars rely on transversal enabling elements that help achieve the overall objective of the Aerospace PERTE. The objectives of the transversal pillar are focused on introducing innovation in manufacturing centers, training and training actions, cohesion of the innovation ecosystem, as well as the promotion of the activation of public-private funds. All these actions are aimed at the aerospace sector.

The transversal pillar comprises seven actions.
